International Education Minor
Program Overview
The International Educational Studies minor for non-licensure track/non-teacher education undergraduate students is rooted in the core courses of the teacher education program which lead to teaching licensure and B.S. degrees and provides recognition of the learning experiences and skill development of students who enrich their study of education within international contexts.
The International Educational Studies minor degree consist of three pre-professional courses in the teacher education program like those that licensure-track teacher education majors and non-licensure track educational studies majors must take. Students pursuing this minor also take the EDUC 199 International Education course and complete six credits of J-Term travel seminar and/or international/intercultural educational internships. The International Educations Studies minor provides non-teacher education students an opportunity similar to the Educational Studies minor, but one that honors interests in international educational contexts and serves as a non-licensure companion to the International Teaching minor.
