Program Overview

The M.S.E. in Education Leadership program prepares teachers for a variety of leadership positions, including principals, associate/assistant principals, athletic directors, deans of students, curriculum coordinators or Area Education Agency consultants. Earn your master’s degree in five semesters and qualify for administrative licensure sooner with the accelerated pathway. With this path, you can apply for conditional administrative licensure a semester earlier than the traditional path and apply for BOEE licensure as early as May of your second year. The Traditional EDL pathway is a cohort-model designed in six semesters with six credits each semester. The Accelerated EDL pathway shortens the program by one semester and allows students to apply for both conditional licensure and the initial administrative license earlier than the Traditional EDL program.
